the RBW throttle on my new FJR seems perfectly in synch with my throttle hand. My first RBW so I don’t know if it’s typical or not.

I know many find the throttle weird on their first FI bike when they are used to carbs. Disconnected feeling so to speak.

I didn’t realize my 2017 Triumph T100 was throttle by wire until I swapped bars. I never noticed the difference and have been riding for 25 years.

I didn’t realize they still made the GSX-R 750. Stubbornly sticking with what is the right size, instead of going to 860 or something. Probably should get one while they’re still around on general principle….

I don’t. I think the Suzuki looks good, but it is that way due to superfluous cosmetic covers to add a retro flair to an established standard, where the Ducati looks like a bike that was supposed to look like it does from its inception. I think this is why so many people are paying $1,000’s more for the Ducati when it doesn’t really outperform the SV650.

Because no one else makes v-twin sport bikes like maybe Aprilia, KTM, and Suzuki? Too easy….

I think it was Vinales’s input. Not sure, but I think they are putting more weight on the rear.

If you like sport bikes, that would be a good decision. Nice balance between HP and weight/handling.

I’ve ridden GSXRs since 1985, track and street, love ’em. Still have a GSXR 750 track bike.

Cruise control on a bike with a tank so small you’re not likely to go anywhere worth using it on. Indian must’ve borrowed that stupidly useless feature from Triumph’s Speedmaster cuz it too has cruise control and a dinky fuel tank.

Loved that last slo-mo scene of Marquez and Dovi braking into the final corner. Looks like both pulled off about a 100 yard stoppie. Good stuff!

A 200 mph rocket ship, I stand in awe. Unfortunately, I live in a 45 mph world – I understand the importance of having reserve performance, but Jeez Louise. If I had more money than brains (I’m a little short on both, unfortunately), I’d have to own one of these, at least for the fifteen minutes it would take me to lose my license. Afterward, I’d have to get a limo, and ride in the back.

Comment on Suzuki Unveils 2020 KATANA: Speed and Comfort (Bike Reports) (News) by joe b

When the original Katana came out, it was obvious it was a landmark styling success. But, there were many who couldn’t wrap their brain around it, and polite to say, hated it. Same here today. Some point out the beak, and hate it, some point out the plate holder, and hate it, some point out the “robot like” look of it, and hate it. I like how Suzuki used a good bike underneath, and combined with a fresh new look of the original Katana, came up with a winner. Sad, some just dont see it. “These are not the droids are you looking for, move on”.

If you have the self control these bikes are awesome. I am forced to resort to rain mode on occasion. Always more (friendly) power than needed in your choice of gear. Truly a pleasure to ride.
